Planked Corn On The Cob
Excellent when using cedar planks. The planks keep the corn from caramelizing to much. It comes out super soft and full of flavor.
Prep planks in water for up to 4 hrs.
- Ingredients:
- Corn On The Cob
- Olive oil
- dried thyme
- crushed or powered garlic
- course salt and pepper
Husk the corn and sprinkle all the ingredients over the corn to your taste. Preheat the cooking surface of the planks on the grill and place the ears of corn on the planks. Close the lid and smell the aroma. It will only take about 20 min. or so for the corn to become tender crisp and ready to eat. A little melted seasoned butter on the table will be welcomed by all.
These do not take up much room on the grill, they can be added in addition to your main meat entree if your timing is OK.
