Nature's Choice Oven Roasting Planks are excellent choices for the home oven. They can be used just as you would on your outdoor covered grill however they do not smolder as they do on the grill and they can be used over and over again. The thick cut oven planks will infuse the gentle aroma of the wood plank into your foods while they heat and your food roasts. After they are used on the grill they are charred and have a strong burnt oder. A fresh plank soaked for an hour or so then placed in your 350d oven for 15 min to heat then add food to the cooking side of the plank with a cookie sheet on the rack just under the plank to catch drips will do the trick. Cook until entree is completely cooked then remove food to platter-enjoy! After your meal wash the cooled plank with warm soapy water and remove any stuck food particals just as you would from a baking dish. If the plank has cracked (and they will over time) then disgard. That crack will harbor bactieria that can be trasmitted to your next meal. An inexpensive grilling plank may last many times before cracking--better to have this one crack than that thick expensive one and have to throw that one away.
