Flat Iron Steak With Amaretto
Recipe Contest Winner!!!
Just like in the high end restaurants. Flat Iron steaks are one of the most tender but lesser expensive cuts of beef available. Marinating them for about 8 hrs. will even make them more flavorful and tender. Certainly memorable.
- Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2tablespoons molasses
- 6 tablespoons amaretto
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ginger
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon crushed garlic
- about 2 lbs Flat Iron Steak
Mix all ingredients above in a zipper bag and marinate in refer. for up to 8 hrs. Place steak on prepared grilling plank in grill for about 15 min. Your steak should be about medium rare for the best flavor and tenderness. Place cooked Flat Iron Steak on a cutting surface and slice into thin strips. Serve over rice or noodle, it also will work well on a tortilla with a little extra sauce and cheese.
